Life Alert Review

Life Alert claims to offer 24/7 protection but can they be trusted? In this life alert review we look at the service and the company themselves.

There has been quite a lot of controversy about life alert in the past. They are one of the best known medical alert systems but on the other hand they are one of the most controversial. Many people have complained about them and I find it very hard to believe that they still have a good BBB rating. (this makes me question the BBB greatly).

Why am I so negative? I  have never met so many people who have been ripped off by Life Alert. Not only is it expensive but they make it hard to cancel and are very rude about the whole process. It is very hard to get through to anyone polite and even then nothing will get done for a long time. Although they claim to have saved many people I would NOT feel comfortable about one of my relatives being put through to one of their operators. I do not recommend Life Alert and suggest that you find another provider which will not only be cheaper, but more reliable and will be more happy to deal with you when you have a problem.

On top of this, they have a very expensive start up cost and a huge monthly cost of almost 5o dollars. If this wasn’t enough they have a THREE YEAR minimum contract! There are much cheaper and better services out there which we recommend.

In conclusion, It is possible that life alert is the worst of all medical alert systems. They have taken money from many good people and no longer deserve to be in business. Stay away.
